A dress parade, competitions and a lot of fun – that was the EXPATS GAMES OPENING PARTY. All those who came to 360°Lounge Bar on Saturday 4th May could feel not only about the fashion show with the finalists and winners of the Miss Expat competition but also could test their proficiency in the Czech history, sports, geography and literature.
This evening party was a forerunner of the EXPAT GAMES drawing near in late May which are to become the greatest social and sports event for Czechs living abroad and foreigners living in the Czech Republic. The fashion show parade culminated in the parade of evening dresses and a promenade of young girls who excelled in the Miss Expat beauty competition. Afterwards there were several open competitions branded as the Czech Party Games. For example, the visitors could sport with the world champion Jan Zelezny and test their skills in throwing the javelin (simulated by a XBox) or bring to trial their acquaintance with the Czech beer traditions in a quiz that will be extended in the next party by a competition in the recognition of various beers selected from the production of the best Czech minibreweries. DJ Patrik and C’Moi provided the musical accompaniment during the whole duration of party ending in the early morning.
We thank the participants who came for having a good time and invite all for the main event of this spring time – EXPAT GAMES – that will be held on May 25th commencing at 11 a.m. in the campus of the Czech Agricultural University in Prague – Suchdol area.
The spring reunion of the managers of TRASK company with their trading partners took place in the traditional venue of Brewers House in Prague. The meeting proceeded in an informal and relaxed mood to which we chipped in by running a beer roulette testing the tastes of guests by guessing various beer styles and brands. That raised the spirits and ended in a flux of questions after the game was over. The roulette was open on two tables and their winners competed in the finals endowed with a rich beer jackpot. Sorry if you did not win and even more sorry if you have never experienced the thrill of playing. The photo gallery is available HERE:
On February 14th 2013 there was held a meeting of the ČEPS joint stock company, the exclusive operator of the Czech electricity transmission, withe their commercial partners. The meeting took place in the beautiful historical premises of Malostransky Palace. Except for the festive dinner, cocktail bar and several musical performances, the participants could enjoy the selection of Czech and foreign special beer brews offered at the stand of Czech Beer Tours. There was present Mr. Jan Suran, one of the best beer stewards, beer arbiters and the present president of the Czech-Moravian Union of Minibreweries.
It was our honour to contribute to such a prestigious event by an offer that received a wide acclaim. The photogallery can be seen here:
The European agency EURid is an exclusive registry and administrator of one of the most widely used internet domain names: the .EU. It was appointed to that job by the European Commission in 2003. At the end of the 2012 this agency shot and official document whose objective was to introduce Prague to international audience using (or planning to use) the .EU as a domain. They decided to do so in a less conventional approach, which at the same time would unveil a tradition characterising the whole country. It was no surprise to us that at the end the choice fell on the tradition of mini and small breweries, beer and the culture surrounding the beer. Indeed, these enjoy a tradition that stretches back to the Czech history hundreds of years ago and which has been branded as the “Czech life style”.
In addition, it was in those very small breweries, in contrast to local multinationals, where the Czech beer retained its past world-wide originality, fame, top quality and the unique taste. Czech Beer Tours was asked to become the consultant and the guide. By the way, it was not only because our domain has been actually czech-beer-tours.eu. The whole document introducing the Czech beer culture is on Youtube and you can see it by clicking HERE. Photogallery here:
On 12 December 2012 one of the most successful events of the Czech Beer Toors took place in The Brewery Court (Pivovarsky Dvur) of Southern Bohemia. The snowbound environment outside of the neigbouring Zvikov Royal Castle was complemented with the cosy venue heated by a fireplace so that all participants coming from the ELIT-CZ company could enjoy both the sight-seeing of the brewery and the moderated culinary tasting of the Czech beer gastronomy.
There was served a menu of 6 courses where the participants could assess under the guidance of an expert facilitator how various types of beer could match the taste of meals. The degustation was conducted by Mr. Ales Dockal whose mastery was rewarded by a lasting applause.
