Family Brewery Bernard – Brewery Jihlava – Brewery Poutník

Our tour to small industrial breweries in Vysocina  (Wolds) Region (some 100 km by motorway from Prague) starts in the Family Brewery Bernard where we will visit the brewery and taste the beer. This family firm became famous for its innovative strategies and exports all over the world. 71
After this visit we will move to the small town of Polna to have a short walk in the vecinity of its castle and the town square where we can find many historical treasures of brewing. 72
On the way to Jihlava, whose ramparts remind of its silver mining history that gave also the prosperity to brewing. 73
We will have a lunch and beer tasting in the new reconstructed brewery restaurant. Later we can taste the beer directly in the beer cellar during our excursion to local brewery. 74
On the way to Pelhrimov we will pass along the former breweries in Batelov and Horni Cerekev. 75
In Pehrimov we will have a couple of stops. Our sightseeing walk will start in the Brewery Poutnik for assessing its production, operation and the taste of local beer directly from lager tanks. 76
During the stroll around the historical square we will learn about the history and the culture of brewing in Pelhrimov region. 78
Then we will visit a rather unconventional Museum of Records, where many recorded achievements and products are associated with beer. 77
This tour will end up in the local pub where we will have the dinner and the possibility to taste other sorts of beer. 79
